"Dragon's Blood" by Jane Yolen

Jakkin is a bond servant working in the dragon barns of Master Sarkkhan. Dragons are raised to fight in the pits, and bond servants must tend to them. Jakkin loves dragons and dreams of freedom. The only way to freedom is to steal a baby dragon, raise it to be a fighter, and win battles to get enough gold to pay his way out of bondage, so he attempts it.

This story has a great plot. Although the story is great, I think the author doesn't develop much of a setting. I definitely know it's in the desert, but sometimes it talks of starships and other planets. Even with the bad setting, I would still recommend this book to people who like fantasy because it is a really fun story.

Like it.Your review is pretty clear and concise. You also didn't spoil the review by actually telling what happen to him. I wonder that what would he win the battles and have enough gold. I'll go to check the book out in the library.

I think I'll like this book because it sounds really adventurous and exciting, and books with dragons are (most of the time) good. It sounds like the setting of the book is really interesting too because they raise dragons to fight.

I think that the review was well written and the book sounds like something I'd like to read. I liked the summary, because it wasn't too long.

The review tells a lot about the book, but doesn't tell enough to tell the whole stroy and ruin it, which is good. It seems really interesting because of how there are starships and dragons at the same time, so I might get this book from the library.

This book sounds very interesting. The combination of both dragons and spaceships make this book seem very prone to readers who want a good adventure. Your book review is quite good, and it explains just enough so that we want to read the book without spoiling the read. Good Job! ~Anish King

I love how you are very honest in your review. You are telling us, that even though you thought the setting was super crummy, it was still a really good book. It does sound like an interesting plot. I've read a lot of Jane Yolen books before, and I know she is amazing in fantasy. I think I will give this book a go.

RETURN THE BOOK BACK TO THE LIBRARY!!! I want to read the book!! I enjoy any book that includes dragons, though I doubt any book would be better than Eragon. . . It sounds interenting enough.

I think that this book review was well written even though it is short. I don't really like reading fanstasy fiction books, but I think that I'm going to like this book when I read it.

Although the review was not too long, it was very to the point and it kind of leave us feel hungry to read it. I rarely read adventurous books and the review made me feel eager to read it so maybe it would be a good point to start reading books of that genre.
