"Inkheart " by Cornelia Funke

Meggie naturally loves books, just like her father Mortimer (Mo), who is a bookbinder. One rainy day, a stranger named Dustfinger suddenly comes and tells Mo that he wants to be read back into a book. Meggie then realizes why Mo never read aloud for her. When he reads, he can bring a story to life, but the cost that has to be paid is astonishing…

Inkheart” was fascinating to read because of its originality and blend of fiction and non-fiction. Mo’s ability to read things out of books was interesting because it led me to imagine what it would be like to meet a character in a book.

A strength of “Inkheart” is that the character in the book is normal yet abnormal. For example, Mo is a normal person who binds books for a living, but he has a unique ability of being able to read things out of books.

One weakness is that it sometimes can be too descriptive, so some parts of it are boring.

I would recommend this book strongly, because it has more strengths than weaknesses. “Inkheart” is coming out as a movie in 2008, and I’m really excited to see the movie.

I've read Inkheart around 2 years ago and i think that your introduction is very mysterious that will cause readers to want to read the book. I agree that the Coernalia Funke has created very interesting caharacters, but for advanced readers, the descriptiveness of the book is an edge to the book. I would like to see the similarities between the book and the movie.

This book sounds just like the type I'd like to read. I liked the review because it was more about the opinion than what actually happened in the book.

I've seen Anish reading this book 2 years ago. He told me it was interesting, but now after rading the book review, I don't really agree with him. Your introduction was good but lost my interest. sry... =(

Lathough the start was good, I do not fully understand what you mean by normal and abnormal. If someone is a book binder who has the ability to read out load and summon things, shouldn't it be abnormal? Every special character in books leads a normal life with special sides. I do not neccesarily think this is a strength of the book.

This book sound really good because it's different and I've never heard of a book like this one. I'd like to read it before the movie comes out because the books are always better then the movies. I have a feeling that this book really makes you use your imagination and I love doing that!

I've read this book, and I have to say it was just Ok. I finished it but I don't think I'm coming back for a second time. It's got interesting characters and a nice plot, but for advanced readers, the plot is very easy to guess.

I had started reading this book in seventh grade. It's not that I lost interest I guess I just stopped for no real reason. It seemed like a very interesting book and I would soon like to get back to reading it. I think I will enjoy it a lot :)

I read this book before and I think it was interesting. I didn't like it that much, although I don't really know why. I think it might have been a little too descriptive so it became a little boring for me. I finished the book and I read the sequel, but I would give it about a 6 out of 10.
I think this is a good review because it tells you about the goood things and bad things in the book.

After reading the review i feel like getting the book from the library because I'm a great fantasy fan but i think that this book will be fun to read for everyone else as well not just fantasy readers.

I think this is a pretty good book and the person wrote a good review but its not really my type of book. So i might try reading it but i'd probably rather read another book.

This sounds like a very good book for me because the plot of the story really catches my attention. I like reading fantasy novels just like this. There seems to be many strenthgs of this book which is good and I want to know more about it. I am eager to find out what happens at the end of the story so I am definitely going to check this book out.

I agree with Mike. I'm not that great a fantasy fan, although there can be exceptions like Harry Potter, or something (can't think). Although it seems like an interesting and promising book, I'm going to have to pass on this book.
Nice Review.
