"The Wish List" by Eoin Colfer

Meg's life has been bad ever since her mother was killed when hit by a car. One day, after owing a troublemaker, Belch, a favor, her life gets turned upside down, almost literally. Meg and Belch end up as arch enemies.

I think the author hooked the reader, like me, into the book quite well by starting with an exciting event. Also, the author creates an interesting image of heaven and hell in the story which intrigues the reader. The only weakness may have been that at the end, the story ended quite abruptly. I would recommend this story to anyone who likes stories with a twist in the plot.

I'm near finishing this book right now and it is DEFINITELY good. It's different from other books because of its plot. In the book the main character is dead, but can't go to heaven or hell because she is equally good and bad. So she has to come back to the world, and make amends for her wrong, but the person who died with her is on her tail with orders from Hades, trying to make her do bad things so that she goes to hell.
I like this book, along with some other of Eoin Colfer's books.

I have read the book and agree with malike that it has a very interesting introduction and the story was a very face paced book. The idea of the right and the wrong of this book, heaven and hell gave the book the edge it needed to "make the reader go on." I would recomend this book to all readers because it is an easy book to understand and it has many surprises.
